
Youth Conference Master Classes
Master Classes are available for Youth Conference – for a fee of $5 – to receive in-depth instruction and coaching from theatre professionals. All Master Classes are 1 hour long and are offered twice to allow all students an opportunity to attend. Sign up for the Master Classes will begin on Wednesday, June 4 at the registration desk in the lobby.
Stage Combat Basic
Wednesday (6/4) and Thursday (6/5) 3:00pm – Room MA 101
Students will learn the basic of Stage Combat Safety onstage. How to handle prop weapons and how to keep yourself and everyone onstage AND backstage safe!
CARLO J. ACEYTUNO is an award-winning fight director with over 20 years of experience, recognized by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) as an Advanced Actor Combatant. He is also a Mental Health First Aid certified Intimacy Director who has been working in that field since 2017, having trained with organizations like Intimacy Directors International, Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, Heartland Intimacy Design, and others.
His range of work has been seen on stage all over Texas in schools, colleges, and theatres, as well as on The History Channel, the Hollywood Bowl, the House of Blues, and the Winspear Opera House, but he’s always excited to be back collaborating with his TNT family!

Jason Diaz Ortega is a teacher-artist who graduated from the University of North Texas with a Major in Theatre Education and a Minor in Music, currently working as Special Education teacher in CFB-ISD. He has directed and co-directed shows such as The SpongeBob Musical at Theatre Denton and The Addams Family with Stage Right, and performed in shows such as Cabaret at Theatre Denton, Rhinoceros at LCT and The Three Musketeers at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre. Jason enjoys singing and when he’s not busy doing theatre stuff he enjoys watching movies and eating chocolate.
College Audition Tips and Tricks from an AMDA Instructor
Friday (6/6) and Saturday (6/7) 12:30pm – Room A116
AMDA instructor J. Elaine Marcos give you an opportunity to perform a monologue and be coached on how to nail your college or conservatory audition. This is open to attendees in high school.
J. Elaine Marcos is known for her comedic timing and scene-stealing roles. Broadway credits include : Val in A Chorus Line, Lily St. Regis in the revival of Annie, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Miss Saigon, Flower Drum Song, Gettin’ the Band Back Together, Wonderful Town, Sweet Charity and The Wedding Singer.

AMDA instructor – J. Elaine Marcos teaches a dance combination from the original production of A CHORUS LINE. This is open to all attendees.
